Why start a blog? Everyone has one these days right? So why am I going to start one too? There are 2 reasons I am jumping into the blogging world.
1. Mommy brain. I have been a stay at home mom for 3 years now. I have 2 awesome little girls and I love spending everyday with them but its really turning my brain into MUSH. I find that I am having troubles spelling, doing simple math and remembering simple things. I need a challenge for my brain. I want to use this blog as an opportunity to use grown up words, speak and write in full sentences and learn new skills, like how to make a website. I badly need some new skills. I hope to include the occasional video as well, which I really have no idea how to do. So add video production to the list of new skills I hope to acquire.
2. I love cooking and recipe sharing. Few things make me happier than cooking for people. I love learning new cooking techniques and trying new recipes. Hopefully through this blog I will get to share some of my favorite recipes.
While my primary focus will food, there will be posts about every part of my life. 18 months ago after my youngest daughter was born I started on a journey to be healthy and fit. I have completely changed my diet and activity levels. We follow a paleo/clean eating diet most of time. My husband and I recently completed a Whole30 and 3 months ago ran my first half a marathon. We have traveled a lot and have many more destinations on our list to visit. Sundays I will post our weekly meal plan and lots of photos through out the week.
